What is Manjistha?
Manjistha means vivid red in Sanskrit and comes from the Rubia cordifolia plant—commonly known as Indian madder. A member of the coffee family, it thrives in the Himalayasand has been used in Ayurveda for centuries.
While often cultivated for its deep red pigment, Manjistha is also prized for its skin benefits. Traditionally applied to help soothe irritation, calm acne-prone skin, and support a more even skin tone, it remains a beloved herb in both natural skincare and herbal medicine.
